You are a child of God! Life may have caused you to question if it could possibly be true that you are a child of God, loved by our Lord and Savior, saved by the gift that Jesus gave you in His life, death, and resurrection.

But, you might be saying that cannot be true: you say that you are divorced, or that you are gay or lesbian or bisexual or transgendered, that you have worshipped other gods or not even worshipped much at all, that you have become drunk or abused drugs or found other ways to numb your own senses. How could you possibly be a child of God? How could God love you just as you are?

The God that we worship at Promise MCC welcomes you. And the Holy Spirit not only moves all of us at Promise to welcome you, but to encourage you in getting to know Jesus, maybe even the Jesus that you always knew had to be, but that had never been shared with you before. Good News for you...

The gospel of John (John 3:16-17) tells us, "For God so loved the world, that God gave us the only-begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Jesus may not perish but may have eternal life. Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him."

Notice there are no footnotes, no exceptions, no exclusions--whoever believes in Jesus has eternal life and is born again. In short, whatever your sexual orientation, if you believe in Jesus, you are a Christian, and have received eternal life.

I am absolutely convinced that nothing...absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us.
