Promise MCC is a dynamic, Spirit-led, Christian Church. Promise MCC began on May 18, 1997, under the leadership of its founding Pastor, Rev. Jon Haack. Promise MCC is located in northern Oak Cliff, a sector of the city of Dallas, Texas. Promise MCC welcomes everyone in a spirit of Christ--we are one in Christ Jesus. We have a primary outreach to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender communities.
We are part of the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches (UFMCC) a world-wide Christian denomination founded in 1968 by the Rev. Elder Troy Perry. With nearly 300 Metropolitan Community Churches throughout the world, there is one near you. For now, here is a brief version.
The gospel of John (John 3:16-17) tells us, "For God so loved the world, that God gave us the only-begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Jesus may not perish but may have eternal life. Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him." Notice there are no footnotes, no exceptions, no exclusions--whoever believes in Jesus has eternal life and is born again. In short, whatever your sexual orientation, if you believe in Jesus, you are a Christian, and have received eternal life. |
